The SMB challenge

Business 24-04-2018

We have just announced our latest competition, calling for skateboarders to submit their trick videos on the SMB Facebook page. The winner will receive a one of a kind, hand painted, skateboard deck. If you want to be in with a chance of winning this money can't buy prize, the submission deadline is August 19, 2018.

The rules are simple. All you need to do is say "this is for the SMB challenge" at the start of your video and then film your latest and greatest skateboarding tricks. The videos will be judged by the company's in-house downhill skateboarder, Aaron Skippings, who will decide which entrant will be the lucky recipient of this ultra unique deck.

"Honestly, I want to keep the deck for myself," joked Skippings. "It would look awesome in my front room. Seriously though, I cannot wait to see the response we get to this competition, I know it's going to be very hard to pick a winner. Ultimately, I'm looking for style, originality and difficulty."

What does SMB Bearings do and why is the company running this competition? Let's see what the managing director, Chris Johnson has to say.

"We supply miniature and precision bearings from our headquarters in Oxford, and a lot of our customers are professional and non-professional skateboarders,” said Johnson. “They choose our chrome steel & also our ceramic hybrid bearings for their high-speed and long-lasting attributes. We want more skateboarders to gain the competitive edge with high performance bearings, which is why we're reaching out with this competition.

"We also supply bearings for bicycle, clock and remote-control helicopters applications to name just a few. In fact, we're also planning competitions for these customers later this year!"

Visit facebook.com/smbbearings1 to submit your video entry before the final deadline of August 19, 2018. Don't forget to say "this is for the SMB challenge" at the start of your video, or your entry won't count.
